Materials & care

Material

New Zealand lambskin naturally has a bubbled texture, making each hide unique. Popular in the 1980s, it has returned to the spotlight in both ready-to-wear and accessories. Soft and lightweight, Bubble lambskin lends accessories a casual-chic character.

This leather is tanned using a vegetable tanning process, relying exclusively on natural extracts from wood, leaves and bark (natural tannins) instead of chromium salts and other chemical agents. This time-honoured method gives the leather a rich, vibrant colour and a unique patina that develops beautifully over time.

Vegetable tanning: France.

The tanneries we work with are based in France and Italy and share our commitment to quality and responsibility. Their artisanal expertise is part of a sustainable approach that prioritises renewable resources and transparent, traceable production processes.

A living, natural material

Leather develops a patina over time. It is a living, natural material. With careful maintenance, your accessory can be enjoyed for many years to come.

Care
  • Regularly apply a non-greasy, silicone-free nourishing cream (test first on the inside or on an inconspicuous part).
  • Wear your accessory with dark clothing at first, to avoid color bleeding onto your clothes.
  • Caution: your dark clothes, whose dye has been badly set, could bleed onto your accessory.
  • Protect from heat sources.
  • Be careful not to snag your accessory, as the lambskin may tear.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, as moisture reinforces color migration on clothing.
  • Avoid greasy substances.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or artificial light, as these can nuance the color.
