Materials & care

Material

An emblematic material of the 1970s, suede is making a comeback. Our tanners sand the hides to varying degrees of intensity to achieve the desired shading, giving the leather its distinctive velvety finish.

The tanneries we work with are based in France and Italy and share our commitment to quality and responsibility. Their artisanal expertise is part of a sustainable approach that values the use of renewable resources and the implementation of transparent, traceable production systems.

LWG-certified leather (Leather Working Group)

The leather used for this model is LWG-certified (Leather Working Group), a mark of responsible practices throughout the supply chain. This certification ensures the responsible management of water and energy, rigorous treatment of waste, appropriate working conditions and strict traceability. It also contributes to the fight against deforestation and supports the development of an environmentally responsible leather industry.

This is a fine leather, sourced through ethical and sustainable production that honours both the planet and artisanal craftsmanship.

A living, natural material

Leather develops a patina over time; it is a living, natural material. Taking care of your accessory with the utmost care will help you enjoy it for years to come.

Care
  • Before first use, brush the velvet parts with a soft brush (to remove sanding dust) and waterproof with a colorless universal spray. This operation should be repeated regularly.
  • At first, wear your accessory with dark clothing to avoid color bleeding onto your clothes.
  • Caution: dark clothing with poorly-fixed dyes may bleed onto your accessory.
  • Protect from heat sources.
  • Be careful not to snag your accessory, as the suede may tear.
  • Beware of rubbing your accessory on abrasive surfaces.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, as moisture reinforces color migration on clothing.
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or artificial light, which can tint the color.
