Avoid rubbing your accessory against rough or uneven surfaces, as a scale may get caught and the leather could rip.
Feed the leather with a product dedicated to snakes and reptiles (to test inside previously), or a delicate non-greasy milk to apply in the direction of the scales.
Be careful of the friction of your accessory on abrasive or embossed surfaces, a scale may catch and your accessory will tear.
Avoid contact with water. Beware that humidity may increase color transfer and bleeding onto clothing.
Protect from heat sources.
Exposure to sunlight or artificial light can alter the colour of the leather.
