Jérôme Dreyfuss
How to take good care of BILLY, FRANKY, GILBERT, LEON, GASTON ETC… !

Your JEROME DREYFUSS maroquinerie accessory has been conceived at the designer’s studio in Paris and was manufactured with care and following strict requirements using “savoir faire” of rigorously selected craftsmen. The leather was tanned in following traditional methods in order to obtain a supple material with a soft and delicate feel. It has been manually tanned to give a particular aspect to the leather.

Slight imperfection in leathers and exotic skins are entirely normal for the type of natural leathers used by JEROME DREYFUSS. All materials are sourced for their exceptional quality and are tested extensively prior to sale.

All types of leathers and other delicate materials (including metal accessories) suffer from humidity. Humidity, salt and atmospheric agents in general can cause permanent and irreversible wear and tear.

Specific care guidance for your bags: Do :

  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, fatty substances, grease (make up), alcohol (perfume, solvents) and other abrasive products.
  • Avoid rain and direct contact with heat, oil and direct sunlight.
  • Avoid contact with any materials (brut jeans) which may transfer their colour pigments on to the product.
  • Always store your bag in the cotton pouch provided when not in use

SAPHIR

Rénovétine SAPHIR® Spray Cleans, re-colours and waterproofs suede, nubuck and ‘tex’ fabrics.

We recommend that you spray your suede bags before you wear them with a good suede protector and then re-apply regularly. This also has benefit of making them more water resistant and will repel dirt.
Prevention is better than cure and if your “friends/bags” are protected you are less likely to need to clean them!

However:
Materials such as suede may transfer colour on to lighter materials at the beginning of the usage. Also suede bags are not waterproof and you should avoid wearing them in the wettest conditions as this may damage them. Genuine suede is resilient to light rain or snow but if your bags do get wet you need to let them dry in a well ventilated area away from direct sunlight and direct heat.

How to clean your suede bag :

SAPHIR

To use a cleaning block/brush, lightly rub over the soiled area without pressing too hard; this should remove small stains. For more thorough cleaning, you should slightly moisten the outer surface with cold water and dilute specialist suede cleaner to make a solution equal proportion of water and foam. Then take a smooth sponge, dip it into the solution and softly clean your stained bags. Let your bag dry naturally away from heat.
